Situated in a great spot on the premier game viewing location in the Kafue National Park, Busanga Bush Camp overlooks the eponymous plains that are so central to wildlife viewing in the park. The picturesque mosaic of expansive floodplains is home to some unique animal encounters for Zambia, including by far the largest and most visible groups of cheetahs, the famous Kafue tree-climbing lions and a huge range of antelope species including red lechwe, Lichtenstein’s hartebeest and sable.
The camp and its four tented rooms are situated on a tree island of sycamore figs, with panoramic views out to the animal activity. Under canvas, the stylish open sided lounge and bar area takes full advantage of these vistas, while the romantic evening dining area is open air and lit by a unique lantern chandelier hanging from a tree. The tents are spacious and comfortable but not ostentatiously luxurious, perfectly suited to a camp focused on serious game viewing. Walking safaris and day and night game drives are offered, in addition to more specialised, full-day game viewing and birding expeditions. Busanga Bush Camp offers a genuinely remote experience of a vast area of unspoiled African bush.
